We are delighted to offer the 2009 Château Batailley, Pauillac which offers a compelling marriage of classic Left-Bank gravitas and accessible richness.
The blend (approximately 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) gives bold black-currant and blackberry fruit layered with cedar, smoke and graphite undertones. On the palate it is full-bodied, with muscular yet smooth tannins and a freshness that keeps the wine in dynamic balance.
The finish is long, with the wine showing early charm yet clearly built for ageing — ready to drink now, but with 10–20 years of life ahead under good cellaring. It’s a fine example of Pauillac in a top vintage — ideal for collectors, connoisseurs or those seeking a memorable wine for Christmas 2025.
