The 2024 Geyserville from Ridge Vineyards is a superb example of California’s old-vine field-blend tradition. Predominantly Zinfandel, with Carignane, Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet, it combines generous fruit with impressive freshness and structure.

Aromas of ripe raspberry, vanilla and liquorice lead to a beautifully layered palate of black cherry, plum, nutmeg and exotic spice, with subtle American oak adding complexity. Fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity give the wine both elegance and considerable length.

A benchmark Ridge wine, it is approachable now but will reward careful cellaring. A particularly fine choice for lovers of rich, characterful reds with complexity and finesse.
