A striking Sonoma County blend carried by 65% Zinfandel (with Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet rounding out the 2021 bottling).
On the nose, expect to find toasty American oak, strawberry jam and mixed berry pie alongside subtle black tea and baking spice. The palate brings layered black and blue fruits, milk chocolate, cherry and a hint of garrigue, all anchored by textured, medium-grained tannins.
With an alcohol level of around 14.1%, it offers serious structure yet remains drinkable now, while still having potential for development over the next five to seven years.
For food pairing, it performs beautifully with braised short ribs or barbecued lamb, and it provides excellent value for someone seeking Californian Zin-forward complexity from a renowned estate.
