This is a polished, contemporary red from a venerable house in the Douro Valley.

The 2021 Callabriga is composed chiefly of Touriga Franca, with Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, offering deep ruby colour and inviting aromas of ripe red and black berries, subtle pepper, and a touch of cedar-and-cocoa oak integration. On the palate it shows vibrant acidity, fine-grained yet firm tannins and a lingering finish — structured enough to evolve, yet accessible now with a gentle decant.

 It presents excellent value in the premium Douro tier, well suited alongside roast meats, well-aged cheeses or simply as a standout bottle for the cellar.
