2015 Rioja Gran Reserva 904, La Rioja Alta

The 2015 edition of La Rioja Alta’s Gran Reserva 904 is a standout offering. Crafted from 90 % Tempranillo (from the vineyards of Villalba, Briñas and Rodezno) and 10 % Graciano (from Montecillo in Fuenmayor), every berry was optically sorted for this special bottling.
After a 21-day alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic conversion, the wine matured for four years in house-made American oak barrels, with regular rackings by candlelight.
In the glass, this 2015 expresses a deep cherry-red hue with a garnet rim. On the nose you’ll find wild strawberry, red cherry, plum and cranberry layered over tobacco, brioche, ground coffee, caramel, cedar and cinnamon blossom. On the palate it offers graceful balance between alcohol and acidity, polished tannins and a freshness that keeps it lively. The finish is refined, very long and built for ageing.
Critically the wine has been well received — scoring in the high 90s from respected commentators — and it represents both immediate appeal and long-term potential for the collector’s cellar.
This i a luxury Rioja that embodies tradition, finesse and longevity — ideal for discerning customers looking for a premium Spanish red to enjoy now or lay down for future rewards.
