This 2021 Arzuaga Reserva from Ribera del Duero is a masterclass in balance and refinement.
Crafted primarily from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with touches of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, its grapes come from the old-vine “La Planta” estate perched at 900 m on chalky-clay soils.
Extended ageing—about 30 months in French and American oak—imparts a luxurious complexity of ripe red and black fruit, subtle roasted coffee, fine spice, and elegant wood notes. On the palate, it’s velvety and flavourful, maintaining structure and freshness, with a lingering, echoing finish that exemplifies sophistication and terroir-driven personality
