La Difese is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, showcasing the best of both varietals. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes structure and depth, while the Sangiovese adds vibrant acidity and a touch of Tuscan character. The result is a well-balanced wine with flavors of ripe red berries, subtle spice, and hints of leather and tobacco.
Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, La Difese exhibits a smooth texture and integrated tannins, making it enjoyable upon release but also capable of developing further complexity with age. Its versatility makes it an excellent companion to a wide range of dishes, from hearty pasta and grilled meats to aged cheeses.
